Patriot Day

In December, 2001, Congress declared September 11th as Patriot Day and called on Americans to fly the flag at half-staff and observe a moment of silence at 8:46 am to honor the innocent victims who lost their lives as a result of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

Hoover remembers this day in a special Remembrance Ceremonies throughout the city. Please join us for this ceremony of reflection and respect as we pay tribute to those whom we have lost and also to those who have served our country in the war on terrorism.
