Hoover's 2011 Arbor Day celebration is scheduled for Sunday, March 6 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Aldridge Botanical Gardens.  The 2011 program will mark Hoover's 12th consecutive year to receive the National Arbor Day Foundation's Tree City USA designation, as well as a 2nd designation by the Alabama Urban Forestry Association as Alabama's official Arbor Day City.  Children's activities, Certified Arborist Q&A, tree giveaways and sales, and other misc. activities will begin at 2:00 p.m. and the formal ceremony will begin at 3:00.  Coach Dye will be on hand for the duration of the event.
