Hoover Residents

Did you know that Hoover was recently listed on MONEY Magazine's 2006 list of Best Places to Live in America? That's right! Hoover was ranked #75 among America's Best Small Cities. (August 2006, Volume 35, Number 8)

Did you also know that Hoover was featured "50 Fabulous Places to Raise Your Family"? According to Kathleen Shaputis, the author, some of the best reasons to live in Hoover are “Lush, green streetscapes, award-winning schools, a dynamic business environment, low crime and pollution, and tremendous community spirit.”

We tend to agree. Published by Career Press, the book is in its third edition. It spotlights everything from small towns to large cities from all over the United States. Information on climate, economy, schools, crime statistics, cost of living, and community life are compiled in a concise format. While Hoover was cited for things such as a low crime rate, low cost of living, award-winning schools, and recreation areas such as Moss Rock Preserve and Aldridge Gardens, it's Hoover's "sense of small-town pride and commitment among its residents" that make Hoover such a wonderful place for families.
