In February of 2007, the City of Hoover opened it’s doors to the new Senior Center. The center is the perfect place to meet others, enjoy a good cup of coffee and participate in activities. The 8000sq/ft building offers a creative arts room, 2 multipurpose rooms, a kitchen, a lounge, a large screened in porch that overlooks the city and an auditorium that seats 250. Individuals over the age of 55 that reside in the City of Hoover can take part in a variety of fitness, social and recreational programs.  

Membership:
Available to Hoover residents age 55 and older.
$10.00 a person per year membership fee provides access to the activities as well as general use of the Senior Center and at the Hoover Recreation Center.  Some additional fees may apply for special activities. 

Meal Program:
Hoover has teamed up with Jefferson County Office of Senior Services to provide a daily lunch for individuals 60 years and older who are Jefferson County residents. A donation is requested per meal. Meals are available on a first come, first serve basis.   See our staff for details!         

Directions traveling north on Hwy 31

From I-459:  EXIT 13 B from I-459.  At the first traffic light on Highway 31 turn RIGHT onto the new Municipal Drive at the traffic light.   Take the first left onto Sierra Drive and and an immediate left into the parking lot of  the Senior Center.

OR Directions traveling south on Hwy 31 Turn LEFT onto Patton Chapel North by Full Moon BBQ and Regions Bank. Turn RIGHT onto Sierra Drive by the First Baptist Church. At the end of this street turn RIGHT into the Senior Center parking lot.
