Although the Hoover Art Association officially meets only ten times a year (monthly, except for June and July), its history demonstrates a much broader commitment to promoting the visual arts. Each year, the association awards a savings bond to a deserving Hoover High School senior selected by the art teacher. Members are also responsible for hanging students' work at the Hoover Library once a month. Other association activities include arts and crafts demonstrations and public art shows.
