Leaf Collection

Advanced Disposal Service will be collecting your leaves. Please rake leaves to the curb the day before the first beginning schedule day in each zone.  Please follow these helpful suggestions for safe and sucessful leaf collection:

  • Make sure there are not twigs, branches, rocks, bricks, bags or other items in your leaves that could  create an obstruction in the vacuum hose of the leaf collection trucks.
  • Make sure leaves are piled away from storm drain openings and storm drain lids, fire hydrants, mailboxes, utility wire and other equipment.
  • Make sure vehicles are not parked near your leaf piles.
  • Make sure your leaf pile does not extend further than four feet from the curb or asphalt.  The leaf collection truck's vacuum hose cannot reach leaves that are further away.

As always, bagged leaves will be collected at the curb on your garbage and trash days. If you have more than 20 bags of leaves, please call 444-7543 to arrange for pickup. If you have limbs, brush, etc., you should call to arrange pickup for this, also.

NOTE: It we experience rain, ice or snowy conditions, the scheduled pick up dates could be delayed. The machines will not be able to vacuum the heavy leaves. Please be patient during this time. We try to get back on schedule as quickly as possible.

If you have questions regarding this service, please contact Advanced Disposal Service at 620-6148 or The City of Hoover Public Works Department at 444-7543.
