Garbage, Trash & Recycle Pickup Services will be delayed 24 hours on holidays:  Services will resume the following business day usually ending on Saturday.   Holiday schedule is subject to change due to landfill opening and closing. 

If one of the following five holidays (New Years Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day) happens to fall on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,Thursday or Friday, garbage service will be delayed by 24 hours. 

If the holiday falls on the weekend - there will be NO change in service.

Holiday falls on a Monday :  Monday off - Monday garbage collection will be Tuesday, Tuesday garbage collection will be Wednesday, Wednesday recycle will be Thursday, Thursday garbage collection will be Friday, Friday garbage collection will be Saturday.

Holiday falls on Tuesday:  Monday garbage collection no change, Tuesday off - Tuesday garbage collection will be Wednesday, Wednesday recycle will be Thursday, Thursday garbage collection will be Friday, Friday garbage collection will be Saturday. 

Holiday falls on Wednesday:  Monday garbage collection no change, Tuesday garbage collection no change, Wednesday off - Wednesday recycle will be Thursday, Thursday garbage collection will be Friday, Friday garbage collection will be on Saturday.

Holiday falls on Thursday:  Monday garbage collection no change, Tuesday garbage collection no change, Wednesday recycle  no change, Thursday off - Thursday garbage collection will be Friday, Friday garbage collection will be Saturday.

Holiday falls on Friday:  Monday garbage collection no change, Tuesday garbage collection no change, Wednesday recycle no change, Thursday garbage collection no change, Friday off - Friday garbage collection will be Saturday.

All carts (trash and recycle) should be place at street no later than 7:00 am the day of collection. 

Service for newly constructed homes should be established through the City by calling (205) 444-7796 or by sending an e-mail message to GTRservices@ci.hoover.al.us.  Service can not be established for unoccupied homes, therefore please establish service after moving in.
