NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
HUD CDBG Program

Citizen Participation Plan
for
Action Plan FY 2011

As an entitlement community under the US Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, and consistent with HUD requirements, a public hearing will be held to receive and discuss comments relative to the City’s FY 2010 Action Plan and to receive comments and suggestions for activities to be included in the FY 2011 Action Plan. Recent activities funded by the CDBG program include the Senior Center parking lot expansion, the emergency home repair and rehabilitation program, the Hoover Coalition after-school tutoring program, and the Loch Haven fully accessible playground. The City of Hoover requests comments from its citizens regarding proposed use of the CDBG funds and projects that should be considered for the 2011 Plan Year and beyond.

The hearing will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at Hoover City Hall, Council Chambers, located at 100 Municipal Lane, and is expected to last one hour. If you have special needs to accommodate or require an interpreter, please call (205)444-7763 at least 24 hours prior to the hearing so we may make arrangements. If you would like to comment and cannot attend the hearing, you may submit written comments to the City of Hoover, Mayor’s Office, Attention Traci Butler, or email butlert@ci.hoover.al.us. All written comments should be received by the City no later than 5:00 p.m. on April 19, 2011.
