Free Health Screenings to Raise Awareness of Heart Disease in Women Feb 6th
2/4/2009  Princeton Hoover Baptist Medical Center is getting to the heart of women’s health with a special event Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, to raise awareness of heart disease in women.

More American women die from heart disease than any other cause.  Our goal with this event is to increase awareness of heart health for women and provide free screenings to help identify problems as early as possible.

Free screenings offered will be EKGs (interpreted on site by a cardiologist), glucose and cholesterol testing, blood pressure checks, bone density and body mass index.  There will also be an opportunity to discuss screening results with a physician or ask about other health concerns as well as learn more about fitness, breast health and dermatology issues.

Hours for the event are 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Participants will receive special gift items as well as register for door prizes, while enjoying heart-healthy snacks!

This is a great opportunity to learn more about the risk factors for heart disease and how women can live heart-healthier lives. Take advantage of this opportunity to talk with primary care physicians and cardiologists.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held in Suite 201, Princeton Hoover Baptist Medical Center, 5201 Princeton Way, near the intersection of I-459 and Highway 150, just off I459 in Hoover.
