Community Development Block Grant Program
PY 2008 Action Plan As an entitlement community under HUD’s CDBG program, the City of Hoover has received a grant of $281,450 for PY 2008. The City held public hearings on April 15, 2008, and June 10, 2008, to receive citizen comment and input into the funding various activities. In accordance with 24 CFR 91.105(b)(2), the City of Hoover, Alabama, is hereby publishing for citizen review and comment a summary of its proposed allocation of CDBG funds for PY 2008, as follows: | Administration | $ 4,850 | | Shades Mountain Park & Pavilion | $170,000 | | Replace Senior Center Doors with Handicap Accessible Doors | $50,000

The proposed Action Plan will be available for public review and comment for a period of at least 30 days, commencing today (June 18, 2008). Comments may be submitted in writing and mailed to the City of Hoover, Mayor’s Office, Attention Jan Pearson, 100 Municipal Lane, Hoover, AL 35216. You may also call Ms. Pearson at (205) 739-6859 or email her at
pearsonj@ci.hoover.al.us. Comments must be received by 5:00 p.m. on 5:00 p.m. on July 18th, 2008. Barring any unforeseen changes, the City anticipates that its City Council will adopt this Amendment, followed by submission to the local HUD Office on July 23rd, 2008. |
