Wednesday's Cavuto show centered around rising energy costs and the future outlook of energy sources. Many experts in the field were invited to discuss the current energy crisis and weigh in on possible solutions.

Mayor Petelos made an appearance via live satellite to discuss the City of Hoover's G2O program, which converts used cooking oil to bio-diesel, and to discuss the city's use of ethanol, also a bio-fuel. The city uses bio-diesel in all of its diesel fleet, and ethanol in its gasoline powered vehicles.

Mayor Petelos announced plans to partner with an Alabama company  to produce ethanol using wood waste, which the city is already picking up as a service to citizens. Using this groundbreaking initiative, Mayor Petelos hopes the City of Hoover will be totally fuel-independent by the end of the year.
