Mayor Tony Petelos and the Hoover City Council invite you to join them for Celebrate Hoover Day on Sunday, May 4th beginning at 1:00 pm at Veterans Park on Valleydale. This is a city-wide celebration that focuses on families and is free to the public. Parking will be available at Spain Park High School.
At 1:30 pm a dedication will be held for the Veterans Memorial Plaza. Brick pavers are currently being sold for $100 to recognize armed forces veterans. Brick pavers purchased during Phase I will be installed by the dedication date. The ceremony will be a special time to honor the individuals that have served in the military.
Scheduled activities will include the following:
- Veterans Memorial Plaza Dedication
- Antique Car Show
- Kids Zone with inflatables, games and much more
- Live entertainment
- Dance exhibitions
