The City of Hoover Office of Development has available a brochure that covers the Birds of the Upper Cahaba. It includes a map of the Upper Cahaba area and the species of birds that inhabit the area.
The area of the Upper Cahaba River provides habitat for a great variety of birds. The trail has been developed to ensure rich and varied experiences for birders and to suggest opportunities for fun and educational outings for birding novices. Some birds can be found in the area throughout the year, but others are migratory, so each visit will offer new experiences. We invite you to bring your binoculars along and enjoy sights and sounds of the Upper Cahaba River.
Follow the links below to view the brochure online. You are welcome to print from these files, but print quality is lower so we could keep the file size down. For optimal enjoyment, stop by City Hall or the Hoover Library to pick up a free copy, or call Sherri Nielson at 205-739-7399 to request a mailed copy.
