CPR Training

The Hoover Fire Department offers CPR Certification Classes for the general public during the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Saturdays of each month. The classes are held at Hoover Fire Station #7 located at 100 Inverness Center Parkway off of Valleydale Road near Highway 280. 

Please note that GPS will not accurately guide you to the station.

Please note that class size is limited and the class may be full before we are able to remove it from the available class selections. Consequently your registration is not guaranteed until you receive  confirmation via email from a HFD CPR Course Instructor.

 There are different levels of CPR training. You should choose the class and the time that best meets your needs. The course descriptions are listed below:

 Heartsaver/AED CPR

The class for May 17 is FULL!

 This class targets all participants other than professional health care providers This course provides CPR training for infant, child, and/or adult resuscitation and use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED). 

The Heartsaver CPR class is available on the 3rd Saturday of each month beginning at 9:00 am and lasting for approximately 3 hours. Please note that you are welcome to attend the Health Care Provider CPR class if needed. 

This class is free to Hoover residents and businesses.

 There is a $20 charge for non-residents and businesses. CHECK OR MONEY ORDER ONLY.

 

Health Care Provider CPR

The Classes for May 7 and May 14 are FULL.

You may take the online version at the website listed below.

 This class is designed for a Health Care Provider such as an RN, EMT, etc. However, anyone may sign up for this class. This course requires completion of a written examination and provides CPR training for infant, child, and adult resuscitation.

The Health Care Provider CPR class is available on the 1st and 2nd Saturday of the month beginning at 9:00 am and lasting for approximately 4 hours.   

 This class is free to Hoover residents and businesses.

There is a $20 charge for non-residents and businesses. CHECK OR MONEY ORDER ONLY.

After completing the class online,you will need to participate in a Skills Testing Session. Sessions are available the first three Saturdays of the month between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.. However, you must call to schedule an appointment. Please remember to bring the printed certificate so that you are able to test. We do not charge any fees for skills testing only.
