The Hoover Fire Prevention Bureau is currently under the 2003 International Fire Codes. The City of Hoover adopted the International Family of Codes in 2005. If you have any specific questions, contact our Fire Marshal, Battallion Chief Sam Honea at 205-444-7719. As well as using the 2003 International Codes, the Hoover Fire Prevention Bureau and the Hoover Building Inspections Department have members that serve on the International Code Development Committees, that review and vote on proposed codes and changes. This is just another example of the City of Hoover departments working to make our community as safe as possible. |
