A.L.I.V.E (Adult Leisure Involving a Variety of Experiences) This program is for adults with the focus being to learn and practice life skills, money management, social skills and identify general leisure and recreation interests. Activities may be set up to address specific areas such as bowling, exercise, arts & crafts, and community outings. Open to participants who are no longer enrolled in school.

 | Team Sports This program for teenagers and adults focuses specifically on athletic skill development. Participants are introduced to a wide variety of sports and learn to work as part of a team and improve their overall level of fitness. Athletes will have the opportunity to participate in games as well as tournaments if they choose. This program meets twice a week on Monday and Wednesday afternoons.

Hoover Hurricanes Swim Team This program is for individuals who have the ability to swim one length of the pool and are interested in improving technique and endurance. Swimmers practice twice a week to develop breathing techniques and improve swim strokes. Participants in this program have the opportunity to compete in a variety of swim meets including, but not limited to, the Hoover Invitational Swim Meet and Special Olympics State Games. This program is open to swimmers of all ages. |  |
 | Rhythmic Gymnastics The Rhythmic Gymnastics program offers participants the opportunity to improve flexibility, strength and coordination while cultivating friendships, promoting creativity and emphasizing team spirit. Participants practice once a week to develop new skills and learn routines. Athletes will also have the opportunity to compete in the sport if they choose. This program is open to girls ages 8 and up.

Express Yourself! Art Express Yourself! is an art program aimed at providing new opportunities for individuals who are unable to express themselves through traditional art methods. Artists who are unable to to use their hands work with a "tracker" who will be their arms and hands to create their work of art. This program is an opportunity for individuals with the most significant physical disabilities to make decisions and explore new recreational outlets. This program meets twice a month. |  |
