The office of the City Clerk is located on the third floor of the Hoover Municipal Complex, 100 Municpal Dr., Hoover, AL. The City Clerk is responsible for the preparation of the City Council meeting and Work Session agendas. The minutes of all CIty Council meetings are permanent records of the City and on file in the office of the City Clerk. The minutes of these meetings are posted on our website upon approval by the City Council. The Zoning Assistant is located in the office of the City Clerk. She is responsible for the processing of all rezoning, conditional use, and subdivision plat applications. She serves as the Secretary to the Hoover Planning and Zoning Commision as well as the Hoover Board of Zoning Adjustments. The minutes of these meetings are also on file in the office of the City Clek as well as posted to the website upon approval Additional responsibilities of the Clerks office include city elections, record keeping functions related to city council meetings and maintenance of municipal resolutions and ordinances passed by the Hoover City Council. The employees of the Clerks office work closely with all areas of the community to furnish information to the public regarding the daily operations of the City of Hoover. |
