Hoover Beautification Board Overview:

"Keeping Hoover Clean and Green" serves as the motto and goal for this up to 20-member volunteer board appointed by the Mayor. Volunteers serve a term of three years. The Board creates programs that encourage and secure the support of local citizens and businesses for beautifying and improving the appearance of the city.    Current projects for the Beautification Board include the semi-annual Commercial Beautification Awards, the City Arbor Day Program and presentation of trees to schools who plan and present an Arbor Day Program; and Litter/Recycle programs for Hoover Schools and citizens.   The Board also assists with annual projects such as the Christmas beautification of City Hall, and the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast. The Board meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 1:00 P.M. at the Hoover City Hall.
