LITTER:  Pick it UP!

How can I help?

•       Set an example for others, especially children by not littering
•       Carry a litter bag in your automobile
•       Make sure trash containers have secure lids
•       Secure loose items in recycling bins
•       Check commercial dumpsters to be sure they are closed
•       Adopt a street or area and pick up trash on a regular basis
•       Pick up after your pet.  Pet waste pollutes our water
•       Report litter, call Hoover Litter Hotline 444-7867

WEEDS:  Pull them UP!

Invasive plants are a big problem in Alabama.  They spread and aggressively replace native species in natural areas, right-of-ways and residential yards.  This causes loss of natural habitat for wildlife and threatens endangered species.

YOU can help by removing these plants:  Kudzu, Chinese Privet, Mimosa, Wisteria, Japanese Honeysuckle and multiflora rose.
