The Public Works Department is a combination of several divisions. Street Maintenance, Building Services, Park Maintenance, Garbage, Trash & Recycling. Business hours are 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. For after hour emergencies, call the Hoover Police Dispatch at 205.444.7640. We strive to keep the city streets and parks clean and well maintained. Some of the services our department offers: - Replace damaged street markers and regulatory signs on city streets
- Pave and patch all city streets
- Mow grass along city right-of –ways
- Display flags and Christmas decorations
- Litter control
- Mosquito control
- Sewer problems in Riverchase, Southlake and Inverness
- Cleaning and maintenance of all city parks
- Maintenance on all city owned buildings
