Amended Final Statement of Community Development Objectives and Projected Use of Funds
Program Years Pre-2015
City of Hoover, Alabama, received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development annual grants for Pre-2015 Program Years from the Annual Action Plans of the 2010 Five-Year Consolidated Plan.
Pursuant to the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, City of Hoover, Alabama is hereby publishing the Final Amended Statement of Objectives and Projected Use of Funds for these years of the Program prior to September 30, 2015. This Final Amended Statement will be developed after receiving citizen comments and views at a public hearing to be held on June 11, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Hoover City Hall Community Room 100 Municipal Lane, Hoover, Alabama.

The Final Amended Use of Funds stated herein has been developed so as to give maximum feasible priority to activities which will principally benefit low and moderate income persons and families. In addition, the projected use of funds is consistent with the City of Hoover’s goal of:
- Stabilizing low and moderate income neighborhoods
- Providing safe and affordable housing;
- Providing jobs for low and moderate income persons and families; and
- Improving the economic life in the City of Hoover by encouraging business development.
The purpose of this Amendment is to adjust Activity budgets. The following are the activities to be changed:
PRE-2015 PROGRAM YEARS
CDBG
Add funding for Public Service to assist with Hoover’s homeless initiative befitting individuals experiencing chronic homelessness ($11,522.41)
Add funding for Economic Development for a micro lending program in Hoover servicing businesses employing low to moderate income persons ($171,567.59)
Reduce Unobligated Funds Available for Funding (-$183,090.00)
